Rare Ruby Glass Silver Gilt Novelty Cannon Combination Scent Bottle Vinaigrette
Silver unmarked, except for a diamond registration mark which dates it to 1874. Slight separation as shown, and some minor denting. 8.2cm long. With a carrying hoop. Would have been used by a lady, probably at a ball, with one end holding perfume, and the other, smelling salts, which were often used at that time, due to the fashion for tight corsets, causing fainting.
