18th C. Brass Hilt Hunting Sword / Hanger Favoured by Naval Officers
 
 Overall length 69.5cm. Originally a hunting sword these hangers were favoured by naval officers. Their short size made them easier to wield on the crowded deck of a man-o-war. Horn grip.
